Request a Visa Invitation Letter

Please follow the steps below when submitting an Invitation Letter for CFD4NRS-6 Workshop.

Online & Email Submission

You may request a Letter of Invitation to attend the CFD4NRS-6 Workshop as you register for the event. If you need one prior to registering, please email a request to cfd4nrs6@mit.edu and submit your request electronically NOW. If you are emailing your request, please note in the subject line of the email: LETTER OF INVITATION.

MIT Nuclear Science and Engineering and conference organizers follows the U.S. State Department guidelines, which state that CFD4NRS-6 Workshop participants, if they require a visa, need a tourist visa, not a student visa. Please consult the U.S. State Department to determine whether or not you need a visa. When applying for a visa, applicants should use their letter of invitation and remember that the visa application process typically takes several months. Participants are highly encouraged to start the visa application process as soon as they have been accepted to workshop. The most recent guidelines can be obtained from the local U.S. Embassy or Consulate or the U.S. State Department.

Applicants from countries covered by the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) will need to visit U.S. CUSTOMS for more information and to apply for authorization to travel to the United States.
